Through in-depth historic research, Storied Capital supports National Register of Historic Places and Virginia Landmarks Register nomination applications and Historic Tax Credit process. Historical consultation has aided the advancement of historic individual properties and historic districts in the preliminary information stage, nomination application, and Historic Tax Credit application process.

Preliminary Information Form and National Register Nomination completed with Hill Studio, PC. Historic Tax Credit application to advance rehabilitation of Doctors Building into the Holbrook, a boutique hotel.

Schoolfield Historic District, PIF and nomination

Research in support of the Schoolfield Historic District, a former mill village of the textile giant Dan River Mills in Danville, Virginia. Contributed historic narrative for the district’s Preliminary Information Form, submitted in partnership with Hill Studio, PC. In collaboration with PIF, undertook architectural survey of 1,000+ buildings in the Schoolfield Historic District from January 2020 – May 2020 and contributed the historical narrative of the district’s nomination application.
